Billy (b. London, UK/Cyprus), artist and writer living in Amsterdam, works predominantly between performance and text.
     Her work foregrounds the fictionality of the body and its splitness. The estrangement of established frameworks - linguistic, relational, narrative, historical - is at its crux.
    This twist pivots around language and gesture as carriers of meaning; vivid and unstable. At its heart is a desire for transmission.

She is the recipient of an Artistic Research Fellowship at the Folger Shakespeare Library for 2025—2026 under the topic “Writing Trans Morality”, and is currently working on her first novel, the outcome of this research into the moralisation of the sexed body. Her performance “The Hunt” was granted the 2025 André Veltkamp Prize.

She is a graduate of the SNDO, Amsterdam, and Edinburgh School of Architecture, and studied at the Studio of Spatial Activities, Warsaw.
