Billy (b. London, UK, she/they) works predominantly between performance and text. Her work foregrounds the fictionality of the body and its splitness. The estrangement of established frameworks - linguistic, relational, narrative, erotic - is at its crux.
This twist pivots around language and gesture as conveyors of meaning, power and old tongues.

She is the recipient of an Artistic Research Fellowship at the Folger Shakespeare Library for 2025—2026 under the topic “Writing Trans Morality”, and is currently working on her first novel, is the outcome of this research into the moralisation of the sexed body.
